Rainout Blues - Or Not!
The morning of June 11th, 2016 dawned rainy and damp up here in Ottawa and we've suffered our first rainout of the season.
To help eliminate withdrawal symptoms, I thought I'd post a half dozen pictures showcasing narrow gauge equipment back in 2014. We see westbound Passenger 1 arriving Bell while an eastbound train awaits orders to roll out of Track 4. We spot the nose of another diesel on Track 3. This must be a standard gauge session with Pat running steam on this day.
The RP&M crew has arrived the interchange at Bell. They are sitting patiently awaiting their opportunity to come back into the yard after drilling the interchange track.

The crew aboard locomotive #27 work train 318, the Glen Hammond/Craig Leigh turn. They meet the crew of 301, one of the two freights that will ply the entire IPP&W railroad on this day.
Train 319W pierces the trestle on the outskirts of Nelson Yard. They will bypass the yard and enter Glen Hammond momentarily.
Passenger 1 has arrived Peter's Pond in their westbound direction.
My Annie works the tracks at the end of the newly constructed Cedar Rock branch. By 2016, structures will dominated this location.
Now, here's an interesting lumber train.
This westbound is spotted at Spruce.
Now, that's a gorgeous locomotive!
Yet another beauty in charge of Passenger 2.
The only image of the bunch with folks in the picture.
Bob, with Garry as crew mate, has the ore train well in hand rounding the big curve out of Spruce with a destination of Nelson Yard. Henk is working the yard in Ironwood with Moe while Paul and Doug are hanging out near Spruce.
We say good-bye with the crew of 327. They are currently in Bell with a final destination of Firgrove. Let's hope that this rainout will be the only one of the summer!
Have a great week!

Sorry you were rained out -- but if there's to be another get together, could a non-member join you? I'm a newbie to all things railroad, am just starting to tinker with scratch-building, and I'm trying to decided whether to go HO-inside or G-outside. I'd love to get a look at an actual outdoor setup!
