It's now the following Saturday and we've held our Standard Gauge session this AM, so I figured that I'd better get the second part of last week's session up on the blog before tackling this morning's happenings.
You may recall Pete and I running train 318/319 from Glen Hammond to Craig Leigh and back. The above two shots were taken late in the session and we are running westbound back to Glen Hammond as Train 319.
Here we are earlier as 318 between Ironwood and Mount St. Helens.
We reached the eastern terminus and the Craig Leigh yardmaster has our return train ready. We've already wyed our locomotive and are pointing westward.
Pete works the sidings in Mount St. Helens as the ore train passes on the station track.
Our friend, Michel, has brought his grandson, Colin, out so we hand him the throttle and he assists with our moves in Ironwood.
With our work complete in Ironwood, we arrive Spruce.
We're out of Spruce around the big bend.
Where we find ourselves downgrade to Blockhouse and, later, back upgrade to Glen Hammond.
Lela and Paul worked our opposing train 327/328 between Glen Hammond and Firgrove.
Lela is a "smooth operator".
Paul's gorgeous locomotive has brought their train safely back to Glen Hammond.
Garry and John have their train, 311, in the pond.
Then it's up to Cedar Rock at the end of the branch.
With its many facing sidings and a single trailing one.
They terminate their run in Firgrove.
Lawrence and Pat also found in the pond aboard Train 302.
After reaching Nelson Yard, they become Train 312.
Where we spot them at Mount St. Helens.
Steve had brought Passenger #2 from Firgrove across the entire line to Craig Leigh. Rather than taking it's return train, Passenger #1, Steve ops to return on the Pool Train.
His train, #15, approaches Mount St. Helens.
Where he passes 301.
Next station stop is Ironwood where he meets 318.
Into Spruce.
Much later between Peter's Pond and Bell.
And...very much later...returning back to Spruce.
As per usual, Bob mans the ore train.
Coming into Spruce...
...ah, there it is!
Another meet!
Lovely!
Much later in Mount St. Helens where 319 works the spur tracks.
Gord takes a breather at Nelson Yard.
Colin oversees his maneuvers.
Ya gotta love this little one.
And this little bit bigger one.
Back to the little one!
An even different one!
Hi there, Garry!
And Pat!
Henk too!
Lawrence.
Steve.
Seanna and Lela.
Steve works hard after the session.
I think he's lost his head!
Paul to the power of two!
Nice to see Bill and Mark out, as always.
Love the treats!
Thanks, as always to our dear friend, Fred, for making all of this a possibility!
This morning's session will be posted later in the week.
Have a good one, everybody!
