The date is Wednesday, April 17th and the temperatures are slowly rising in the Ottawa area. Today we reached plus 14 degrees Celsius which is plus 57 degrees Fahrenheit.
This means it's time to call a posse of volunteers to help assemble the canopy.
And...get the all important bar fridge in place..not to forget the cupboard in back.
Garry and Fred relax following the work.
As do Doug and Doug.
The handsome Garry.
Bernie and Bob. While Bernie and the boys were toiling in the great outdoors, Bob busied himself with indoor projects which was greatly appreciated by Fred and the crew.
Malcolm and Skipper Fred.
Thanks Malcolm for sending along the pics!
The following images below were sent my way thanks to Bernie!

Garry (and Bernie) are busy raking away some of the white remnants around Bell in order to hasten the melting process. Bernie tells us that the snow remained here longer than in other places due to the fact it was in the shadow of the fence. There was a lot of ice in the area as well.
The tarp went up rather quickly.
Looking good.
Looks like the dispatch hut is about to give birth!
No, not to another dispatch hut...to something of greater significance...
...the beer fridge!
Garry is sandwiched between the two Dougs!
"I'll have a brew with that sandwich," someone is heard to say.
Fred is on his knees saying his Easter prayers.
Beer and Easter eggs...now that's a great combo!
It certainly looked to be the perfect day to get these jobs done. Bernie managed to rake up some pine needles, but most were still in ice. Bernie also tells us that it looks like the fish did not make it through the winter. Will have to get us some new ones, we gather.
Thanks to these great volunteers who certainly make a difference along the IPP&W/RP&M.
