The date is Wednesday, April 17th and the temperatures are slowly rising in the Ottawa area. Today we reached plus 14 degrees Celsius which is plus 57 degrees Fahrenheit.
This means it's time to call a posse of volunteers to help assemble the canopy.
And...get the all important bar fridge in place..not to forget the cupboard in back.

Garry (and Bernie) are busy raking away some of the white remnants around Bell in order to hasten the melting process. Bernie tells us that the snow remained here longer than in other places due to the fact it was in the shadow of the fence. There was a lot of ice in the area as well.

It certainly looked to be the perfect day to get these jobs done. Bernie managed to rake up some pine needles, but most were still in ice. Bernie also tells us that it looks like the fish did not make it through the winter. Will have to get us some new ones, we gather.
Thanks to these great volunteers who certainly make a difference along the IPP&W/RP&M.
