OVGRS Member Terry Goes Electric!
Terry Rowsell recently sent me a link to his latest YouTube effort.
It showcases his recent creative work in electrifying his railroad.
These images were screenshots from Terry's video.
You will find the link to the video at the bottom of this blog entry.
Terry's indoor Pencross Railway continues to develop and grow.
The track is ballasted and various details abound along the right of way.
Aha...that pole is new!
Of course...the line has been electrified!
The support poles span all tracks.
Hmmm...Terry tells us these little people have been up to something. Ya never know with "them thar" gnomes! Are they to blame?
We'll soon find out as we spy an electric locomotive hauling lading from staging.
The train slows to a stop in front of the depot at Rowsell where we find a diminutive diesel hanging out.
The electric locomotive is a beauty, Terry!
Time to take a spin around the layout.
Oh look, the pantograph is down and the locomotive has stopped.
The apparatus is back up and the train is on the go - so the power is truly coming from the overhead wiring!
The locomotive engineer is a happy lad to finally have the chance to run his power along the lines of the Pencross Railway.
Lovely!
The supporting infrastructure as seen before Terry had painted it.
He tells us he made the supports from some excess rail!
A look down the line with the tunnel entrance to staging.
A railfan's view.
Extra cable keeps the wires spread apart.
A look along the curve out of town.
Terry's scenery is certainly coming along beautifully!
Lots of great railfan angles!
Ooh - cool! A rather unique inspection car!
The big brass has come out for a tour of the line.
Love the chariot!
The inspection run is underway.
Passing Black Beauty.
The railroad passes inspection.
Coming to a stop.
Our friendly gnomes are congratulated for their "stealth" efforts in electrifying the line.
Great work Terry!
The old steamer is happy to have another locomotive companion to help carry the load along the railway.
Ditto for Terry's diesel puppy!
And...speaking of puppies, here's a cutie!
Thanks for sharing your latest efforts with us, Terry!

On another note, my daughter just e-mailed me a couple of images from Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg Germany where she is visiting a friend for a couple of weeks.
When she returns home I will gain access to the many images she had taken at this showpiece of a model railroad and I'll be able to include them in future blog entries.
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend everyone!
