This is Part Two of our posting from the second day of September.
This is the locomotive Paul and I ran.
This is the locomotive Paul and I ran.
Moments earlier Paul had backed it out of this carrying case.
A couple of other carrying cases hanging around before the session began.
We spot a reefer at the fishery in Peter's Pond.
Garry works Nelson Yard throughout the session.
Lawrence has arrived the yard as has Bob in the far distance.
A Nelson crew works the sidings to the east of Nelson Yard as a train passes by on the main.
Three trestles in total bridge the wide chasm outside of Nelson Yard.
Bernie runs a short hop down to Mount St. Helens from Craig Leigh.
Here's the handsome Craig Leigh yardmaster.
Bernie earlier on in the session.
Douglas Yard in Craig Leigh.
Paul runs the doodlebug into Bell. He has already turned it on the table for the run down on RP&M tracks.
The same gas electric on its return run with a station stop at Pratt's Bottom.
Pat Brewer has his RP&M train in Bell.
Seeing Paul in the image tells me that our train must be nearby.
Two RP&M trains in Bell at the same time.
A long look at Pat across the two yards at Nelson and Glenn Hammond.
Lawrence and Bill work Mount St. Helens aboard 314.
Enjoying the shade.
Two classy lads!
Bill controls the train movements.
George and Brian have 303 westward bound at the Mount.
Later in Spruce.
Much later as Train 313 at Mercer.
Here's George.
313 meets our train, 328.
313 in Peter's Pond.
George and Brian.
A meet in the Mount.
Bob carries the ore train out over the gut.
Through the iron.
Between Ironwood and MSH.
One glorious locomotive.
A going away shot out of Ironwood.
Then it upgrade out of Mount St. Helens toward Craig Leigh.
Paul and me in Spruce as Train 301.
To the west of Spruce.
On approach to Nelson Yard.
Through the green.
Into the yard.
Switching trains...
...from 301 to 311.
Paul takes a much deserved rest in the chair as Garry assists us with our caboose.
Pat and Fred in the lounge.
Pre-ops grouping.
Fred and Paul during a break in the action.
Dispatcher Doug keeps all trains moving forward.
Steve pre-ops.
Who's this stranger? Say...he's no stranger...it's Honking Henk! Sure glad you made it out even for a little while, Henk.
Garry and Pat in "Rat".
Pat is so thrilled that we've added the new "opposing" siding in Cedar Rock.
He mentions to me that this siding should've gone in years ago.
But no worries.
As he is able to switch it out in no time at all!
Then, it's the return run back to Nelson Yard.
A further look at 313 shows the train departing Nelson Yard in a westward direction.
At Bellamy.
Through the crossing.
Meeting the ore train.
Right hand running...right! (inside joke)
Post ops camaraderie.
Seanna, Steve and Bernie.
"Ditto" above caption.
Doug, Bill and Brian.
Mr. Garry!
Pat and me with a great lunch for we!
Thanks for checking in on Part Two from this week's operations on the railroad.
See you next week! Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
