Pat's Pics From Sunday at George's Place

Pat's Sunday Best Pics

Pat, Marcel and Len headed out to George's place to run a few trains on some newly laid track.

Pat graciously has shared his images with us.

He also wrote the captions for our enjoyment.

Len and Marcel talking about the extension of George's Layout, which is apparently named Len's extension. You can see most of the outdoor section in this picture.

Not to be too dramatic but this going away shot of Marcel is a reflection of him leaving the Canadian cold behind as he departs for the south in the coming days.

Looking at the extension from the end of Smiths Falls yard (formerly Henk's yard).

Len explaining something about the extension to me. It is exciting to have this large extension of the layout.

Steve's bridge... yes, the Steve we know from IPP&W.

A look at where the two parts of the layout will eventually connect.

George and Len near the Smiths Falls yard. You can also see the back of my van. Believe it or not, I drove between the building and the tree in order to arrive at that spot.

A view of the extension from inside the two-car garage.

Inside we see Len and Marcel comparing locomotive sizes.

 Another shot of the same.

George is about to run the passenger train while in the foreground a set of cars waits to be spotted.

Marcel and George look curiously at what appears to be Harry Potter's wand!?

Back outside Len puts his locomotive on the extension.

After Len has gone around the extension with only his locomotive, he starts building a train in Smiths Falls.

The string of cars at the end of the line.

A clip of a video when the revenue train left Smiths Falls.

A shot of the train coming around the curve.
Thanks so much for these fine images, Pat.
We look forward to our final operation of the season this coming Saturday.
All the best, Mike and the crew!  Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
