The Pencross Railway Comes to Life With Scenery
Our newest OVGRS member, Terry Rowsell has been "hard at it" with the scenery material.
His indoor large scale Pencross Railway has enjoyed structures, figures and other creative details for some time now.
Terry has found the time to get "down and dirty" with the scenery-making and his creation is truly coming to life.
Certainly not the best place to pour a beverage...but we'll take our tea any way we can, eh Terry!
Love the remote control models within a model of a railroad!
I'd bring my vehicle here any day!
Great looking ballast. Terry tells us the staging goes off to the right through the wall. This is Terry's view of the unfinished area. The opposite side of the layout holds the industrial sidings.
I've taken a couple of screenshots from one of Terry's latest videos on how he made the water for the pond.
The tail end!
Simply copy and paste the link below to see a seven minute video on how Terry created the pond.

Terry shows us how staging supports the wonderful operations he has on the go!
His layout must be very old and established as he must've filmed "The Potato Flyer" in the good old days of black and white films.
In the video link below you will see and hear Terry's talk on how his staging works and you'll get to enjoy "The Potato Flyer".
Again, copy and paste the link below into your computer's browser to access the video footage.

Thanks, Terry, for sharing more of your finely detailed work on your large scale indoor Pencross Rwy.
As for me, I spent the better part of a day at my workbench resurrecting another of David Primeau's prized models which were retrieved from his HO scale layout upon its dismantling - his covered bridge.
When I received it, it had fallen apart somewhat with warped walls and no flooring or rails.
I've named it the Adriana David Bridge after a very special lady who works in the hospitality industry and assists with our wonderful OVAR meals at our monthly meetings.
You will remember that it was Adriana who published the book titled "Spanning Time - The Bridges of Ottawa-Gatineau". I call this little scene made up of the covered bridge and two existing dioramas I made a number of moons ago "Spanning Time & Space" in honour of Adriana!
While I am a guitar player, here you see me with the drumsticks having a bit of fun at Record Runner Studios where I play every Wednesday afternoon with one of my many bands!
Be on the lookout in the coming days for some more blogger footage of our ninth session of last season where we all enjoyed a great time in the wilds of Peter's Pond country!
You'll be sure to see plenty more of the steam action that was covered on that beautiful summer's morning in Fred's backyard!
As always, we thank Father Fred for bringing us all together in this fine hobby of ours!
All the best, the greater OVGRS family
