Pat's Views From Belleville

Pat's Contribution of Pics From Belleville

Pat sent me the following message yesterday which he titled:
Pat's pictures at Barry and Bonnie's Aug 15th, 2024
By the way, Mike...Happy Anniversary to you both and Happy Birthday to Lisa!
Thanks Pat, we celebrated our 44th anniversary and Lisa's 65th birthday.
She doesn't mind at all becoming a truly minted "senior citizen"!  Big smile!
All pics and captions come from Pat!

Pat started building train 404 at Trista, with his trusted Annie steam locomotive, and would pick up cars along the way to complete the run to the other end of the layout at Ottawa.

While switching at Trista you can see Tom and Kurt's train approaching on the other side of the walkway. Notice the beautiful plants all around.

This shot is not to capture the crew so much as capturing the trackwork coming out of Trista with Ellen's Grains spur on the left side of the image.

As train 404 departs Trista with a yellow caboose picked up from Trista Centre's caboose track, you can see Tom and Kurt starting their switching work at Trista and to the right of train 404 is a partial glimpse at the grain tower that Chris built for the layout several years ago as well as Pat's trustee carrying case for the Annie engine.

Train 404 then passed Hayes fuels which was switching there much earlier to set out the green tank car and pick up the black one seen in the consist in this picture.

Turning around to take a look at where train 404 is heading you can see Kamaron City ahead but train 404 is heading left (see the switch alignment) to pick up the Coca-Cola car and drop off the yellow and green Rutland box car at  Naismith's Logistics

Train 404 is about to start the exchange of cars here at Naismith's Logistics with Juliana junction in the background.

A view of Kamaron City from a higher perspective with part of Naismith's Logistics on the bottom left of the picture. Nice looking buildings at Kamaron city.

Moe and Gerry working at Shaanenville.

Meanwhile Mike and Chris are finishing up their work at Cumberland as train 404 waits in Naismith's Logistics.

Big smile Mike!

A view of the approach to Shaanenville on the left, from Kamaron city, after you go through the tunnel of the water feature. Also you can see Shaanenville East waiting for delivery of rolling stock.

Train 404, still waiting at Naismith's Logistics, will have to back up a car length as it's fouling the main. Mike and Chris will want to pass and get to Juliana junction.

After switching at Cumberland and Orleans, train 404 passes Cora's Corners en-route to Ottawa.

A view of Ottawa yard after three trains from our first run have come in. Train 404's cars have been set out in the tracks, according to Barry's instructions, and Annie will be pulling a new train, 409, which will depart after lunch.

The green, green grass of Barry and Bonnie's home with a wye track for easy locomotive turnaround moves at Cora's Corners.

Train 409 switching in Orleans after a runaround move. Two crews and the yardmaster were busy at Belleville across the aisle.

Another shot at Orleans.

One of the many VIA trains we saw while eating fish n' chips and railfanning in Brockville as we made our way home to Ottawa and Aylmer.

What a great day thanks to Barry and Bonnie!
Thanks! Pat

And...a great bit "Thank You" to you, Pat, for sending these great photos and captions our way for the blog!
