Hi folks, John sent this video my way taken during a trip out west.

Below is his message my way.

Hi Mike, hope all is well.  Here is something to share.

 Got back from holidays in BC and attached is a video of CP 8135 pulling hoppers through Boston Bar. 

We drove down the Fraser Valley past the billowing smoke at the end of the video not more than 10 minutes earlier.

Hwy 1 was closed a few hours later and still has not opened up.

John catches the CP power up close but still at a safe distance.

Note the smoke blowing off the hillside...

...and billowing high up into the air!

The image above is of the harrowing close call on July 13th when a Canadian National train was surrounded by a forest fire near the community of Armstrong in northwestern Ontario.

These images and corresponding video went viral.

The train crew had to radio for help before escaping on foot as raging flames and thick smoke overtook the tracks.

Fortunately all four crew members made it to safety.

An investigation is now underway to determine how the train was able to get in this predicament in the first place.

Crew safety is of the utmost importance.
