Dilip's 'People Pictures' From Session #15

Hi folks.  Dilip kindly sent along a number of 'people pictures' from our most recent session this past week.

I asked him if he spotted a hairy looking creature as he toured the railway.

Dilip informed me that indeed he had...but every time he went to photograph it - the beast disappeared suddenly into the foliage. 

Our crowd of 30+ folks gather in the crew lounge before the session begins.

Bob & I get a kick out of Mr. Scobie.

His rants are always most entertaining...but bang on!

Garry & Bill share in the running of the passenger service on this day.

Grant, Gerry & Mark work Train 302 between Firgrove and Nelson Yard.

Their train currently resides along the Cedar Rock siding.

Phil & Jeff observe the running of their locomotive between St. Helens & Ironwood.

The two Doug's (Doug 1 & Doug 2) man the Ironwood Switcher on this day.

They are currently lifting the ore loads for pickup by the ore train.

Meanwhile in Spruce the crew aboard 313 works the town in dappled shade.

Neil, Pat & Moe make up the team of railway workers assigned to this train.

Quite the crowd has made it out on this day.

Garry runs the passenger service westbound into St. Helens out from Craig Leigh.

Father Fred concentrates on placing a new wick in the lantern Doug has brought out.

Felicity works 301 at Ironwood in tandem with the ore train.

Meets are commonplace here with the occasional 'triple variety' taking place every now and then.

First trick Train 303 handles the sidings on the eastern fringe at Bell.

Joanne, Craig & Chris make up the crew.

In the distance Steve & Seanna have arrived Stuart aboard RP&M Train 71.

They will return along RP&M rails as Train 72.

Craig is a very happy camper seeing his gorgeous locomotive running again!

It had been damaged the week earlier.

Joanne guides a cut of cars off Track 3 at Bell.

Yardmasters Len & George keep a 'tidy ship' at Ralph Yard up in Firgrove.

Here we see Steve & Seanna hard at work at Stuart.

They have already turned their locomotive in preparation for their return home as Train 72.

Indeed...two happy campers they are!!!

Dilip managed to get a picture of me getting a picture of an incoming wayfreight at Douglas Yard.

The passenger train is holding for the meet before heading out of town in a westerly direction.

Seanna sent this image our way saying:  Here's a photo of Steve reassembling our Annie after George repaired the main drive gear.

Seanna goes on to say:  It had been struggling even with just a few cars in tow, but now it works beautifully! 👍👍

Neil also sent along this video he filmed of the passenger run entering Ironwood from the west.

And  my bandmate Jim's wife Karin snapped this shot of the two of us hamming it up during a performance later that day at a farm out in Carlsbad Springs.

Jim & Karin are both medical doctors.  

Jim works in the emergency room at one of our local hospitals and Karin is a family practitioner.

It appears Jim has a 'big foot' as he wears a walking cast following a skirmish with a motorcycle!  😎👀😎

...for he 'lights up our hearts' every Saturday morning by opening up his home and his wonderful backyard for us to enjoy great train operations.

There is no place else on earth we'd rather be on a Saturday morning!
