Workday Wednesday September 15th
The work crew arrived Fred's on an overcast morning to work on the railroad.
The clouds held on to their water droplets and we were spared a soaking!
Some items are planned for addressing while others just happen to come up.
Here are a couple of our workhorses!
I enter the property to find Pat and Fred off in the distance.
They are discussing the placement of a patio tile to assist operators with reaching the turnout just off the bridge. Good idea, Pat!
Fred is pleased with the plan.
Pat's knee area of his jeans and "nice" blue gloves showcase the dirt which equates to "hard work"!
"Bernie and the Blower" would make a great title for a novel!
Lawrence's stonework recently produced this lovely curve in the garden.
Pat gets down to work while Bernie continues to clean the track area.
More discussions are being held.
We're starting to look like a city of Ottawa work crew!
The lilies will be moved from trackside to the empty area near the curve.
Bernie and Lawrence are all smiles!
The lilies have been removed.
Pat the gardener.
He should open up a landscaping business!
Mike gets "down and dirty" with the stone dust.
The "half patio stone" is in place.
Pat checks on the condition of the transplanted lilies.
No worries, Pat. They'll take off like mad!
Lawrence oversees the work.
Much better access for the crews to that turnout.
Nice!
The Wednesday before, Lawrence went to work in Firgrove.
Because the yard throat at Ralph Yard was sagging, the supporting post has been shimmed up.
Fred gets down to weeding.
Great job, Fred!
Thanks everyone for checking in on our Workday Wednesday efforts!
Cheers, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
