Spring Meeting at Fred's April 6th

The season may read "spring" but old man winter still has a say in things up here in Ottawa!

April 6th found us gathering around the table inside Fred's home.

For our annual "spring fling".

AKA...spring "kick-off" meeting.

There were lots of things to be discussed.

Schedules of events.

Rolling stock maintenance issues.

Track maintenance concerns before season's ops begin.

Any track changes required?

Any operational concepts to be added to or amended?

Two boys saying their penance for last season's indiscretions.

Any upcoming train shows involving Large Scale?

Suffice it to say...

...lots of deep discussions took place...

...with many creative ideas coming forth...

...to ensure our operations continue to grow in the positive manner they do.

We chatted about the history of the railroad.

Which goes back a long way!

Friendship and food abounds here.

We are truly blessed...

...to have such a great place...

...in which to gather...

...on a weekly basis...

...to enjoy camaraderie...

...to engage in topical discussions...

...and...of course...to enjoy laughter as always!

So, it's "thumbs up" from me to another great season of train ops on the IPP&W/RP&M.

All thanks to Skipper Fred!

Yes, the blog will come alive once operations commence in May!
Here's to a warm spring up in our home town!
