Section Three finds us in Spruce.
314 ascends the rails to the west of town.
Takes the big curve.
Then passes the lovely depot.
Lawrence is close by in Cedar Rock with 313.
My crewmate, Paul with Sid in the background.
Sid inspects our train.
Mark and son haul passengers eastbound through the big trestle while Pat follows the progress of his own train.
314 rounds another curve...
...this time to the east of Spruce.
313 tackles the grade at Wellington Lake.
We have 314 in Ironwood while 313 works in the distance.
Passengers enjoy the verdant landscape near Spruce.
The railroad is an active one on this day.
Following its station stop in Spruce, our passengers head eastward toward Ironwood.
We hold a meet in Ironwood.
314 is protected.
314's crew drills the trailing sidings.
Mark captures a pic of me.
Dispatcher Bill checks in on the scene.
Pat relishes a seat in Mount St. Helens.
Passengers meet 319.
314 tails our passenger train.
Passing by Ironwood Brick.
On the plateau.
Upgrade.
Sid, Mark and son in the shade of the mount.
We say farewell to the passengers.

Paul and Brian in Cedar Rock with 328.
314 works the yard tracks in Mount St. Helens.
314 is cleared up to Craig Leigh. Bernie offers us the choice of switching our train out at its destination.
We take him up on the idea...more fun to be had!
We isolate the hopper car.
To run around it.
We must haul it over to the Northland Dock.
Shunting it into the siding.
Task complete.
We back away from the spur.
Then we head over to the engine house.
Sid checks out our power.
Paul and I use the wye in order to place our locomotive in the proper orientation...
...for entrance...
...into the carrying case.
In she goes.
And with that...
...another session is complete.
Time to carry those hard workers home!
As Henk illustrates.
Table talk.
Post ops.
Camaraderie abounds.
Here's Pat...
...and his glorious hat!
Time to dine.
With good friends.
Jean and Lisa enjoy the autumn sunlight.
Ah...the colours of fall. This shot snapped on my street looking across at my neighbour's home. Here's to good weather for our next ops session at our great friend, Fred's place!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
