Dilips' Pictures From Session #15

 Dilip's Pics From Session #15

A great big note of thanks to Dilip for sending along these images from our more recent session when I was away.

There are not many photos but they are superb nonetheless!  You managed to capture the essence of the session beautifully.

Pat has also sent along a batch of images which I will share in a blog entry tomorrow.

As you can tell, it was a "blue sky day" although the temperature was crisp judging by the jackets worn by the operators!

The ore train glides downgrade out from Firgrove with Bell appearing in the windshield in short order.

Steve runs Train 303 with our photographer, Dilip.

Pat manages to capture an image of the ore train's arrival along the main in Peter's Pond with a westbound crew tucked in on the Peter's Pond siding.  Pat is in command of all ore loads and empties on this day.

Barry reaches the pond with Train 302.  He and crewmate Doug have work to conduct up the Cedar Rock Branch so they have taken the near siding known as the Cedar Rock Siding.

Bernie traded places with Doug Culham.  Bernie worked the "high iron" while Doug acted as the Craig Leigh Yardmaster in the coolness of the shade.  We find Bernie with an RP&M train reaching the interchange tracks at Bell Junction.

An "upbound" train to Firgrove passes the traffic below as it ascends the grade at "The Ledges".

Yet another crew is "out" from Firgrove and hopes to find a less than congested Bell Junction on their re-visit there!

Garry is alone in Nelson Yard this morning.  Seanna is spotted off in the distance awaiting clearance into the big yard aboard IPP&W Train 301.

Steve basks in the sunlight as Robin conducts their train's movements near Bellamy.  They are employed by the Rat Portage and Mattawa railway.

Our trusty dispatcher, Mr. Bill Scobie!

An eastbound ducks into the tunnel beneath Mount St. Helens.  They won't resurface until just short of Peter's Pond.

Steve reaches Mercer Siding with Train 314.  From here he will seek clearance into Nelson Yard where he will terminate and begin his third trick of the morning aboard 324.

These next five images are snippets I grabbed from a video Dilip managed to take.

We catch this eastbound tiptoeing through the pedestrian passage leading into Peter's Pond.

Some lovely examples of rolling stock abound.

We spot Barry and Doug in St. Helens and Steve following his train into "The Pond".

Our other Steve also follows the action as Seanna looks on as well.

Here's our man, Dilip, snapped in an image by me a couple of sessions ago.
Thanks so much, Dilip, for these fine images.  So kind of you to share them with us.
