RIP Terry (TAC) Foley

Rest in Peace Terry

Our greater OVGRS family is deeply saddened to learn of the news of Terry Foley's sudden passing.

Terry (TAC) Foley made his home in the UK but that did not deter him from making the trip overseas a number of times to visit during our annual "Invasion of Friends" weekend up here in Ottawa, also in Belleville and across the border down into the United States.

He was such a genuine person with one heckuva sense of humour.

I snapped these shots in the crew lounge at Fred's way back some ten years or so ago of Terry kibitzing around.

Always one with a fun story to tell, you can see his personality coming through in this image I took of Bruce Chandler (Chandler's Sludge Works) taking a picture of Terry.

He certainly kept Father Fred well entertained.

Along with Ken Brunt (Brunt's Brewery) these two kept me in stitches throughout the entire weekend.

Ken, who passed away during Covid, now has a crewmate to run that great big large scale layout in the sky - in Terry.
I will miss the many emails I'd receive from Terry telling me of the progress he was making on many of his railroad projects.
He was an avid live steamer as well and would send pics from the various shows he would attend.
We will all miss you greatly, Terry!

  1. We are so sorry to hear about Terry. We met up with him on several of the "invasions" and enjoyed running trains with him. There are some great train people "up there"... bet the layout is terrific! Diane and Ed
