Barry's and Bonnie's Beautiful Belleville Railroad Through the Lens of Bernie's Camera

We check in again on Barry's and Bonnie's magnificent garden railroad in Belleville, Ontario.
We thank Bernie for sending along this batch of photos from the day.

The ops are standard gauge which offers up the potential for railfans to spot colourful equipment along the line.  This Fruit Growers Express billboard reefer is a wonderful example of the colour of railroading in the modern era.

Bernie brought along his TH&B Geep to ply the rails.  We catch his train heading into the tunnel beneath the lovely waterfall.

Again, the dugouts have emptied as the manager insists his batter is right and the umpire is wrong!  The decision is not going to change, but the ump lets the manager blow off some steam...or is that...some diesel.  (Big grin!)

Malcolm's Conrail unit has a Soo Line boxcar on the headpin.

At Boyce Station, trains arrive and depart in great frequency.

Love the water feature, Barry!

The gardens too!

Henk and Moe in Cumberland.

"The car has to be here!" exclaims Henk.
"I bet that Lyon character snatched it up on us!"

"Impossible!" grins Mr. Lyon.
"We haven't even arrived there yet.  In fact, it's your crew that's holding us up!"
Hehehe!

John and Barry work the area around Shaaneville and Shaaneville East.

Lela rests up in her perch on the upper deck while the train action continues down below.

Some of Barry's finely painted structures.

Moe gives a wave from the engineer's cab.

Looks fabulous, Barry!

This load apparently is being delivered to the IPP&W.  I've placed the order for the black beauty...I can't recall who snatched up the red one.  Look out Ottawa..the streets will never to the same again!

Love the little community near West Ben.

What's this....an empty yard.

We'll never make it to the ninth inning this-a-way!

Henk and Moe, in the siding.

Ah...that's better!  Some traffic in Boyce.

Doug is aboard his westbound train out of Belleville while John and Barry tally their cars in Orleans.

Bernie's unit pierces the iron.

Tucks below the water.

Approaches Cumberland from the west.

Long hood forward.

Meets Henk and Moe's train.

There's traffic over in Kamaron City.

Malcolm calls the shots on his afternoon train.

Pat reviews his train orders at Boyce to determine if he has all the correct cars on his train.

Lunch time!

Dig in folks!

And...they do!

An overall view of the layout and gardens.

Truly impressive.

Truly inspirational.

Barry can have quite the number of trains running simultaneously.

Two crews here.

Ditto.

Our videographer doing what he does better than anyone else...videographing!

A profession team gets the job done in no time at all!

Malcolm's videos are always a treat to seel.

A minor service interruption.

Doug and Malcolm.

Barry and John...

...discuss their next series of moves.

Love this car!

Great weathering on this example.

Malcolm terminates his train at Boyce Station.

Barry and John.

At Juliana Junction, Bernie and Doug take the cutoff toward Cumberland.

Through the passing siding.

On approach.

Arrival in Cumberland.

A full yard, it seems!

Thanks so much, Bernie, for these great images from the session.
Thanks to Barry and Bonnie for hosting the crew on such a fine day!

Check in later for more pics from other photographers!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
