Pat's Images From Session #7
Just like Dilip, Pat was kind enough to take some time out from running his three passenger trains to snap a few photos for the blog.
Hey...Pat even wrote up some captions for me!
Yabba dabba doo! Thanks Pat!
Passenger 1 overtakes 301 at Mt. St-Helens.
Due to congestion at Glen Hammond, Passenger 1 waited outside the yard
limits as Passenger 2 was able to leave Glen Hammond and proceed Eastward toward
Spruce.
Made for a great over / under shot.
En route to the facilities I grabbed this picture of yet another new house
being erected across the street from OVGRS headquarters.
Malcolm and I (Pat) proceed Westward with pool train 33.
At Mt. St-Helens
we meet the loaded ore train.
After switching at Bell, Pool 33 proceeds onto the Rat Portage and Mattawa
(RP&M) Railway.
As we approach Pratt's Bottom flag stop we notice the people
have been waiting so long that they've turned to plastic.
(Credit to Malcolm
for that humourous observation)
Nice look at the empty ore cars at Fallen Tree mine and adjacent tracks as
Pool Train 33 heads east towards Spruce.
Later that morning Pat gets a close up shot of his Annie locomotive as it
pulls passenger train 4 from Firgrove to Craig Leigh.
Passenger 4 has arrived at Craig Leigh and pulls beside the engine shed and
will soon be backing up on the wye to get to the station.
See Mike on the move
in the distance.
Passenger 4 backing on the wye, station bound.
Passenger 4 backing up past Douglas Yard.
Passenger 4 Has arrived at its final destination for the day, Craig Leigh
Station.
You can see our friend Bruce Humphries talking to Mike at the top left
of the frame.
Another visitor, seen here with Mike, is Bill Weiler.
Henk also made his way into the shot. Beautiful People.
Thanks Pat for your wonderful images from Saturday's session.
I couldn't help myself as I wanted to include your 'cover shot' from when we appeared of a two-month spread in the on-line Garden Railroading Magazine!
And...here is Pat assisting with the packing up of cars following the end of the Saturday's operating session.
Thanks again Pat for sending along these wonderful pictures and great captions.
On behalf of Pat, Father Fred and the entire crew...enjoy a safe week.
We are the OVGRS of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
