Quick WDWD Review

Quick WDWD Review

Our regular WDWD crew assembled this morning with Fred in his backyard.

Some trackwork issues were dealt with along with the finishing touches on the painting of the trim for the dispatch booth.

I rendered myself as an observer seeing as I threw my back out on Monday and the muscles remain most tender two days later.

We find Doug having taped the windows in preparation for the trim coat which has already been adhered to this side of the shed.

A rare sight...Bill caught in the act of doing something good!

Just teasin' ya Billy Boy!

Hammerin' that lid back on the paint can will ensure quality paint for future use!

And...here's the great T-shirt hiding behind the 'blue skies' of Bill's other shirt!

Chris & Pat investigate some trackwork issues that were dealt with on Clarke Grade.

Bernie examines the 'right of way' for any siding name tags in need of repair.

Found one!

Later, I spot Pat with blower in hand.

The paint has 'set up' sufficiently to allow Doug to remove the tape from the window glass.

Looks like a fun job to me!

Video fun with Doug!

Still more video fun at the dispatch booth!

Bernie & Pat...both on the phone.

I even tried my hand at the scraping for a short while.

The pair are back on their phones again...this time not to call someone...rather to check on the weather forecast for tomorrow's trip to Belleville where we will be running Bonnie's and Barry's railroad!
Yeah!
And...we have determined the trip is a 'go' as the morning's skies in Belleville will allow us to run the trains!
Yabba Dabba Doo!

I was able to contribute in a small way - bad back and all!
This BCOL boxcar is a duplicate on the railroad as we have two of them with the number 4039.
Rather than using a lettering machine, I suggested simply to paint either the '9' to look like an '8' resulting in the number 4038.
Or...I could paint the '3' into an '8' with a dab of white paint on a toothpick and turn the boxcar number into 4089.

So I brought the boxcar home and used some white acrylic paint from 'Dollarama' to turn the '3' into an '8' resulting in the number 4089.
Steve, feel free to go ahead and place this new car number on the roster in RailOps!

Then its back to my workbench to paint and construct this 'Twin Spool Hoisting Engine' in O-Scale from Crow River Products!
I'm a keepin' busy for sure with the Sawmill Diorama!

And...here is the diorama which will have a log dump diorama built to mate with this existing scene on the left hand side.

Now...whose reflection is that in the second window down?  😎😄😎

Of course...it's little 'ole me!
My band is playing Fred's 'Patio Party' tonight starting at 6:30!
Hope to see some of you there!

And...Father Fred does too!
Thanks for checking in on our WDWD happenings from yet another fun Wednesday 'Trackside" along the IPP&W and the RP&M railways!
We are the Workday Wednesday Crew of the OVGRS and we hang out in Canada's Capital City of Ottawa
