Session #6 Second Section

Mark sent us the following images from the session this past week.  Mark has brought out his newly acquired Canadian Pacific road switcher.  He drives Train 302 downgrade out of Firgrove with his crew mate, Bill, as conductor.

302 has arrived Bell and the crew has run around their train to set out a reefer at Brunt's Brewery.

On the eastern front, we spot Pool Train 15 making a station stop as Train 301 is protected in the siding.

302 is cleared eastbound through to Watkins Siding where a very interesting meet is about to be choreographed between dispatch and three train crews.

Note eastbound 302 nearest the camera.  The other freight train coming upgrade at Watkins Siding is westbound 327 holding on the main awaiting their chance to switch out Wellington Lake.   Note also Pool Train 15 bypassing 327.

Train 15 makes a scissors cut through the two freight trains.

Indeed, a lovely "trifecta" of trains!

The crew of 327 await the passage of 302 before going on to switch out their trailing siding at Wellington Lake.

302 bottoms out at "The Corners".

Reappearing below Mount St. Helens.

Arriving Peter's Pond.  At this point, the engine encounter battery issues...

...and my CN road switcher came to the rescue.  (When I dispatch the railroad, I bring out a locomotive just in case an additional one is required.)

302 works Cedar Rock.

They have returned back down to Peter's Pond where they meet westbound Passenger 1.

Passenger 1 is a train of beauty with all the heavyweights and Budds behaving themselves beautifully!

302 is running short hood forward through the junction.

The crew arrived Nelson Yard where they swapped out consists and the crew of 302 continued their eastward journey now as Train 312.

Fred is seated off in the distance observing the running of 312 as it is about to arrive Spruce in behind the camera man.

312 arrives Spruce.

Having terminated Train 312 at Craig Leigh, the crew boards Train 319 and is cleared out of Northland down to Mount St. Helens.

We say "goodbye" to 319 as the crew trundles downgrade out of Spruce bound for Glen Hammond.  Thanks so much for the great pics, Mark!
