Bernie's Belleville Account - Part Two

Bernie Manages to Capture Tons of Action in Belleville

We continue with Part Two of Bernie's accounting of the train action in Belleville at Barry and Bonnie Birkett's lovely garden railroad. Here's Johnny Chuff Chuff with his awesome smile to brighten up our day!

Marcel is ready to take 612 out of Belleville to start his run.

He has some switching maneuvers to complete first.

Found this little gem hidden among the hostas.  It would                       appear that he has "fallen" for her!

Sid gazes over the action as he has never switched before.  It's a true learning curve!

Mark and Barry’s neighbour Joe discussing large scale trains.

Attentive guests Marcel, Mark and Joe listen to a briefing from Barry.

Sid, Jean (on the stairs), Johnny, , Fred (seated) and Marcel continue to focus on Barry's briefing.

Noel records the briefing with her camera.

Paul appears ready to take 412 out of Belleville.

We check in on Sid.

Sid gains a conductor, his wife Jean.

Sid is using TH&B GP-9 402, one of three TH&B Jeeps operating today.

Marcel has reached Juliana Junction and Hayes Fuels.

The CEO shows up to see how Paul and Johnny Chuff Chuff are doing.

Meanwhile, Bernie is busy switching 414 at Shaanenville.

Fred provides some switching advice to Sid.

Bonnie and Noel take lunch orders from John. Bonnie did yeoman service by picking up our sandwich and chicken orders.

John and Paul switching St James Flour.

Oh, oh, looks like a derailment at St James Flour.

Bernie arrives at Hayes Fuels with tankers to set out.

Bernie had no switching at Trista so had permission to pass 412 with 414. That was to prove a strategic mistake.

Meanwhile Mark switches Orleans.

Hmmm...that GP-7 looks kind of familiar. Can there be two No. 73's on the railway?

Sid’s 402 is sandwiched between several freight cars as he gets the hang of this thing known as switching.

Great job, Jean and Sid!

Fred observes Sid And Jean working Cumberland.

Paul and John are finished at Trista and await clearance to Cumberland.

The clown comes out in John!

Sid has cleared the main so Bernie can go through on his way to Orleans.

Check in later over the weekend for more pics and stories from Bernie's perspective of a great day of train running in Belleville.

Have a fine Saturday everyone!
