Johnny Chuff Chuff's Account of Barry's Train Operating Session
Johnny Chuff Chuff sent along these lovely images from the day at Barry's in Belleville...and, yes...we agree with Johnny...Barry and Bonnie have created one magnificent garden paradise on the property their new home.
Fred is seated at the table as Joe, Bernie, Johnny, Sid & Jean listen in on the morning instructions.
Indeed, the participants are taking the social distancing very seriously. Barry tells us that Belleville has done extremely well in these Covid times.
Yes, Barry...the revamped waterfall is a beauty to behold!
I'm am in total agreement with Johnny. Bernie is enjoying the operations as his train works the sidings in Shaanenville.
So glad to see that Mark made it out as well!
Such an amazing "splash" of colour, Bonnie!
Wow! What an honour for Johnny!
Bernie's got all the trappings necessary for the day!
Teamwork! Johnny captioned it "John and Pat", but it is really "John and Paul"...hmmm...with John and Paul all we need is a George and Ringo! Hee hee!
Great neighbours! Say, Barry...will Joe allow you to expand over into his yard...or is he across the street? Big grin!
Respite from the sun is a good thing!
Marcel entertains Bonnie, Jean & Sid.
John is a master modeller and it is great seeing the quality work he does.
Hahaha! Too much! We're lovin' it!
Woah! Love that Alaska unit!
We can see that big grin on Mark's face through his mask. He's like a little boy running the trains! (Don't we all revert back to our childhood days when we are trackside?!)
Indeed, swapping yarns in comfortable surroundings.
Here's Barry...the brainchild behind such an amazing railroad!
The colour in Bonnie's flowers offer competition to all those vivid diesel liveries!
"You cover Hamer...I've got Mills...Paul, keep your eye on Birkett and Joe...you head downfield for the touchdown!"
Mark is heading into Ottawa from Orleans.
Not too far from Hayes' Fuels we find the corner of the garden near the gate to the front lawn.
A garden oasis in the suburbs!
Barry's gravel path is wide enough for operators to work yards and sidings quite easily on opposite sides of the aisles.
"Should we prorogue operations or continue running the trains?"
We all know the answer to that one!
Time to pack up and head home...or to our parents in the case of Mark on this day.
A great big "thank you" to Johnny for sending along these amazing photos along with captions.
Another great big note of thanks to Barry and Bonnie for hosting an amazing day in Belleville!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
