November Antics In the Garden

 November Antics In the Garden

Indeed, who'd a thunk we'd be a-runnin' trains in November up here in Ottawa?  We certainly didn't!

I've titled this entry "antics" as we all had a ball running an eclectic variety of trains on this day!

Early generation diesels.

Locomotives with rods.

Modern behemoths.

An ancient brusher car (sweeper car) in perfect working condition.

Even a train with CP on the headend and CN on the tail sandwiching the newest addition to the fleet, the Large Scale Central hopper car.

A newcomer revisits the line.

Even a steam locomotive from overseas!

To top things off, Grant brought out his 1937 Chevy Sedan!

She's a real looker, Grant!

We won't be barbecuing on this grill, that's for sure!  We'll check in again with Grant's magnificent vehicle in a further posting.

We catch up with Doug rounding the bend to the west of Spruce.

In mere moments he will begin galloping down the slope at Clarke Hill.

Passing Clarke Gables.

Here's Doug with his train in video format.

Paul reaches St. Helens with a long drag in tow.

Such a variety of colours in the consist.

A long train she be's!

Nice van on the end.

Let's check it out in action!

Pat has his sweeper car about to earn its keep...

...in Peter's Pond...or better still...

...heading up the Cedar Rock Branch!

Man, she sure can clear the track of any debris!

Here comes Grant...

...rounding the big curve in "The Corners".

He's at speed through the forested area!

Mark is found running upgrade out from Pratt's Bottom...

...with quite the consist in tow.

A pleasant surprise!

Let's catch that on moving footage!

Lawrence has brought out this British beauty!

She's gorgeous, Lawrence!

Hey, the warm weather today was like a great Christmas present in advance!

I'm Dreaming of a Warm Christmas!

Marcel peeks his nose out from behind a support...

...as his train departs Peter's Pond.

Silver Bells...no, no, no...it's "Silver Cars"!

The park car.

Looking good, Marcel.

I am so happy Marcel brought along his UP unit...

...as I have shot many stills of it...

...but nary a video!

Well, here it is!

Pat and Grant observe the action as Paul departs Craig Leigh.
These images and videos are but a "tip of the iceberg" so to speak.  There are many more to come from this morning's great activities.  I believe we had over a dozen lads out today and everyone took care to social distance and wear their masks.

We will miss Marcel as he will be heading down to Arizona this week.  Safe travels for you and your lovely wife, Marcel!
Thanks for checking in everyone!
