Pats Views From Last Saturday

 Views From Pat's Perspective

November 7th

We thank Pat for handing off these pics and vids to me at my home today.

Pat is sweeping Track 4 as Paul's train holds Track 3 in Bell in this image I cropped from the previous shot.

In the background we see Doug sailing off into the sunset along IPP&W rails up to Firgrove as Paul awaits clearance onto RP&M rails westbound to Rat Portage.  In Bell, the third track over from the aisleway is considered to be Stuart Yard while the fourth track away is the mainline.

Earlier Pat used the "Armstrong" to turn his locomotive and his sweeper car!

It appears to be a "passenger convention" taking place at Bell.

Marcel is but a fraction of his entity to the left as Grant approaches with throttle in hand.  Moe is the company photographer off in the distance.

Love the "head on" shots Pat!

Rollin...

...rollin...

...rollin onto the turntable in Firgrove.

We go for a wee spin!

Heading back east on a brisk fall morning.

Brusher at work, indeed, Pat!

Or, sweeper at work.

Nevertheless, she's a thing of beauty!

Let's check it out!

The train makes progress sweeping the line between Firgrove and Bell.

Paul's train works the south tracks in Nelson Yard.

Marcel and Moe deep in conversation.

Our sweeper sweeps the curve to the west of Bell.

She will take the ladder into the yard.

Scaling down the ladder, she meets a lovely Canadian National passenger train holding the main.

We verify these findings!

We find ourselves at the eastern end of Bell.

Pat drives the sweeper car down through Watkins Siding.

Pat captures the action at Blockhouse.  We spot two locos and a van up in Nelson Yard as a Canadian Pacific train hits the pedestrian crossing down below.

Train action everywhere!

Our CN passenger train leaves Lilly Curve behind...

...and hits the Patrick Brennan Bridge on a slow order with the CP train navigating the block in the distance ahead.

Looking nice there Pat!

It's a most definite "fall look" up in Cedar Rock.

Indeed, those pine needles have made a delightful appearance in their brown and orange drabs.

We spot the lighthouse Steve and Seanna have lit for us!

Beautiful, Pat!

After clearing the Cedar Rock Branch we find the train exiting the tunnel beneath St. Helens.

Pat finds "The Corners".

He then sneaks into Wellington Lake behind the large facility at Ironwood Brick.

He's on the move!

Pat ducks beneath the turntable at Firgrove into the subterranean world.

He finds daylight on the big curve out front.

Arrival in Rat Portage.

Later, we find two trains running eastbound with the CN RS3 arriving the Fred Mills Bridge and the sweeper train arriving Blockhouse.

Paul N. is in control of this solitary unit...

...while Pat encounters no traffic at the pedestrian crossing.

We love watching the moving footage!

Pat finds himself taking the final curve into the terminal area at Craig Leigh.

Over some recently established trackage.

The end of the line to the east!

In Craig Leigh.

Residing beside the engine house.

Paul arrives back in Craig Leigh.

Paul hauls a long train!
Thank you so much Pat for sharing your pics and vids with us this week!
Have a great day everyone!
