"Congestion at Bell" Mark's Railroad's Version

"Congestion at Bell"
Mark's Family's Railroad Version

Mark sent along these amazing pics of his family's garden railroad.  Here's the story in Mark's own words.  "On Sunday (May 30) I built my first yard to finally give my railroad some operational possibilities."

"It is very modest compared to the likes of Nelson or Douglas Yard, but it's a start!"

"We often speak about inspiring the next generation and passing on our hobby to younger folks."

"The children didn't know what I was planning, so on Monday morning they woke up to a nice surprise."

"They were very happy to experience the excitement of railway operations first hand, even if that means placing toy passengers and playing dollhouse inside station terminals."

"You can see in this picture (shown for a second time) that we have raised the bar pretty high, relatively speaking, in terms of 'Congestion at Bell'.  Four operators to one train." :-)

Thank you, Mark for all of these wonderful pictures.

"How to unwind after a long day at work!" is the caption Mark offered for this later pic as Mark told me that he was thinking of my retirement where I will "really" be able to unwind!  Hehehe!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

  1. It's great to see the little ones helping out with so many aspects of the hobby. Very well done, Mark, what a great attitude you have!
