Saturday Through the Eyes of Pat's Lens

Saturday Through the Eyes of Pat's Lens
Images and Videos Submitted by Pat Brennan
Post Script provided by Gene Kirkham

Let's check out Saturday's train running through the eyes of Pat's lens.  Above we catch a meet of "the old" and "the new".
(Remember, you can always enlarge the images by clicking on them and reduce them by clicking outside them.)

Moe's diesel is holding the main as Pat's steamer runs by.

Earlier, Pat had made it downgrade...

...our from Craig Leigh.

We have a convoy!

Pat has made Ironwood and is in search of Spruce.

Through Spruce...

...and downgrade to the pedestrian crossing.

Past Blockhouse...

...then up into Lilly Forest.
(I spell it Lilly after my puppy dog, but it really is Lily after the plant that is found in abundance in the local area.)

Will he make it through?

We don't know.

Maybe he will.

He's giving it a really good go!
(That's Andrew in the background in Bell.)

Success at last!

The gentlemen all applaud Pat's efforts.
It would appear Moe has met with success as well.  His CP locomotive traverses the big bridge.  Looks like Bernie's studying for the exam before entering the room with his TH&B diesel along with five cars and a van...not to forget the gas electric keeping a safe "social distance" behind!

Bill checks on Pat's progress as Pat takes the station track in Glenn Hammond.

Andrew stands between Bell (to the left) and Glenn Hammond (to the right).

These gents paid top dollar for their front row seats.
Man...somebody's got to do something about all the plants through Lilly!

Pat backs into Nelson Yard...

...while Bernie investigates RP&M territory.

A slight "service interruption" at the crossing.

A closer examination of Pat's rolling stock reveal these two handsome looking cars as Andrew climbs the grade up to Firgrove in the background.

Two trains in two relatively empty yards!

TH&B at Bell.

Bernie observes the progress of his train.

Mister Bob shelters from the sun under the canopy.

A great looking meet at Mercer Siding.

Mark and Andrew off in the distance.

Pat sent along these two videos of the action from Saturday.

Mister Mike...

...with his retirement gift from Pat.

Thanks again Pat for the lovely gift and thank you immensely for these great photos and videos!

Post Script

A magic "Gene"ie appeared out of his bottle and wiggled his nose...and now Lilly is once again ready to handle trains.

Of course, that would be our good friend, Gene!  He happily notifies us that "Lily Forest has been trimmed and it's just Lily again.  The RofW is pretty much open once more for traffic!"
Thanks for clearing up that Right of Way Gene and sending along these two pics!

All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
