Mark's Views From Train Running

Mark's Views From Train Running

Mark has kindly sent me some images from Saturday's railroad fun at Fred's place.  He arrived shortly after I had left.
Above you see Mark's newly acquired Aristo E8.

Along with the E-unit's acquisition came a half dozen passenger cars from USA Trains.  It is the 6 car aluminum passenger set.

Here is the story in Mark's own words.  "We put it on for a run at Fred's, though the huge cars jumped the switches here and there and I am still working out some coupling issues with the loco."
.

"But it was a beautiful sight as you can see."

Mark has captured his passenger train highballing through Peter's Pond.

At Mercer Siding we find Bernie eyeballing the gorgeous consist.

Andrew offers up a helping hand as the train encounters a "service interruption" at the crossing.

Henk is in attendance as he oversees things.

Bernie swings around to catch the train on the eastern outskirts of Nelson Yard.

She's through Lilly and on into Blockhouse.

A lovely image of Andrew's little Mack tackling the jungle terrain!

Looks like he's made it through.  Mark tells us to note the Bluetooth speaker mounted on the gondola three cars back of the engine.  "It's really cool!" Mark elaborates.

Mark has captured a photo of the first water lily of the season which Fred had proudly pointed out to him.

Fred listens in as Henk and Bob discuss Bob's own layout at his home.  Thanks for sharing all of these pictures and stories with us, Mark!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

  1. That train is a beautiful investment. You need extremely wide radius curves to do her full justice, methinks. A delight and a rare treat to have watched in action, I'm sure.
