Bob's Basement Empire

Bob Clarke's Santa Fe Empire

A Railroader's Dream Layout

Thanks so much to Bob for sending along these wonderful images!

Hey...some breaking news!

We must thank our dear friend, Bob, for this splash of red, silver and yellow.

Why...it's his Santa Fe empire in his home!

Love that tail end car!

What a great line-up!

They reside their staging track...

...prepared to hit the high iron!

Their similarities, along with the unigue features of each locomotive make for a calendar shot in my books!

I'd travel in that bilevel coach any day!

Thank you, Mr. Bob Clarke, for sending these photos along for us to enjoy!

So-o-o...I dug into my photo archives to locate some images of Skipper Bob!

Should you ever visit the IPP&W/RP&M railroads, wherever you find an ore train...well...you'll find Bob!

Bob surprises us so many times with gorgeous specimens of locomotives he brings out and this EMD SD40-2 Santa Fe diesel is no exception.

The loaded ore dock will not remain that way for too long!

As Bob gets to work...

...we find him out from Craig Leigh.

Rounding the bend out from Spruce at the apex of Clarke Hill.

We find Mr. Clarke rolling down Clarke Hill, named in his honour.

There is a stone house now situated at this location (not in this image) which has been dubbed "Clarke's Gables" just for fun!

Bob is tackling the grade with ease at Watkins Siding.

Out from Glenn Hammond, Bob will be crossing the Fred Mills Trestle in short order.

And Mr. Hamer enjoyed completing this puzzle Barry brought up from Belleville.  You can't miss Bob's favourite railroad line as it certainly adds a fine splash of colour to the puzzle.

Thanks, Bob, once again for your fine images of your dream layout.  We love it!
Have a safe day all!  Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
