October 17th Trains
The lads gathered on a cool October morning with a warm sun rising in the sky raising the temps as the morning wore on.
This is our 100th posting this season! Not bad at all considering we did not hold an official train operating session at all this year!
Marcel was a happy lad. He brought out his latest acquisition, this lovely CN E-unit. Marcel credits a number of the lads for putting himself and Paul Norton together on this deal...the diesel locomotive and five passenger cars!
The clarity of these screen clips from video I shot is not as clear as the regular photos, but they serve to showcase Marcel's lovely train.
Marcel only brought out his diesel on this day as he is running Fred's passenger equipment.
He tells us he has to work on the passenger cars to ready them for train running.
Marcel is on the roll as he bypasses Douglas Yard.
The starboard side of the locomotive shows the words "Canadian National" in English. The railroad's name appears in French on the port side of the diesel unit.
A nice view of the tail end cars.
Here's Marcel and Bernie!
Marcel, the proud engine man.
An earlier look at the entire train.
Marcel tells us he still needs to install an LED lamp for the light on the front of the E-unit.
Out past Northland.
We're through St. Helens and onward towards Ironwood.
In the shadows of the old coal bin at Ironwood Brick.
Your train is mighty fine looking Marcel!
Running through the Ontario wilderness.
Paul coupling on to his train.
A nice splash of fall colours!
Marcel and Fred enjoying the sunshine. As Marcel indicated, he got that call from Paul regarding the E-unit and passenger cars this past Monday, Thanksgiving Monday. It certainly was not a "Stormy Monday" at all. Hey, give a listen to my band's "raw rehearsal version" of the great blues tune, "Stormy Monday".

Have a great day everyone whether you read this on a Monday, Tuesday...or any day of the week!
