Andrew Spots a Great Looking Locomotive
Andrew was on his return trip home from Toronto when he stopped in and visited a fellow G-Scale modeller in Oshawa where he came across this beauty of a locomotive.
Mr research indicates this as being an articulated 2-8-8-2 steam locomotive from the Norfolk and Southern with a two-wheel leading truck, two sets of eight driving wheels and a two-wheel trailing truck. These locomotives were capable haulers, often pulling longer trains at drag freight speed on mountain grades.
Thanks for sharing these two images with us, Andrew!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
