Barry's Railroad in Belleville

Developments on Barry Birkett's Railroad in Belleville

Barry has sent along some great looking pictures of recent developments on his wonderful railroad in Belleville, Ontario.
Above is Barry's new (second) engine shed at Ottawa Station.
(Remember, you can enlarge the image by clicking on them.  You can return to the default look by clicking outside them.)

Barry tells us, "I am finally happy with my waterfall after building it eight times!"

Barry's lovely wife, Bonnie, got around to assembling his Colorado Models warehouse.  Barry tells us, "We have some more, and wonder if anyone has access to their tips and instructions, since CM no longer exists."

Sprite, "digging" in the garden near the entry gate.

Barry tells us that operating is a bit lonely with no one else there.  He has indicated that he has been working on some improvements to the scheduling just as we are on the IPP&W RR.  He also is hopeful that a visit from our OVGRS friends will still be able to take place on August 20th!  We hope so too, Barry!  Thanks for sending along these fine looking pictures and captions!
All the best, Mike Hamer, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

  1. Good stuff, Barry! I hope you will share some waterfall-building dos and don'ts with Noelle, who has begun a waterfall project of her own in our northwest corner. This is some distance from, and unrelated to my railroad. I have plenty else to do. Glad you're finally happy with yours............. Cheers!

  3. Barry, as a new and part-time operator at OVGRS, I have little experience with garden railways but have enjoyed the ops experience at Fred's. Your installation looks really interesting and a great addition to the "yard" . Do like the waterfall as I am finally getting around to putting in a "stream" between two decks here in Ottawa. Inspiration Plus.
